Discovering Paris La Défense Arena

Paris La Défense Arena is a venue that hosts major events. It was designed by French architect Christian de Portzampac and inaugurated in October 2017. The Rolling Stones were the first to perform on the stage of Paris La Défense Arena in front of 40,000 spectators, making it one of the largest indoor arenas in Europe. It is located just behind the Arch of Defense and serves as the home stadium of Racing 92, a rugby club competing in the Top 14. The arena adopts a 19th-century architectural style while also featuring a contemporary art collection.

Visitors can also explore the green spaces including Cours Gambetta, Majunga Eco-garden, General de Gaul Esplanade, Hanging Garden, and Garden of Reflections. The rates and terms vary depending on the event programming, but admission to the venue is free. The opening hours also depend on the programming. Paris La Défense is located less than 3 hours from the main European cities and only 10 minutes from Champs-Élysées. There are 5 high-capacity rail lines (RER A, SNCF Transilien lines L and U, Metro line 1 and Tramway T2) and 22 bus lines, including 3 "Express A14" lines passing through. It has 23,000 parking spaces and 2 high-capacity lines in the pipeline (RER E and line 15 of the Metro) that will reduce transport time for transfers to airports.
