The Cathedral of Saint-Pierre de Beauvais

The construction of the Cathedral began in 1225. It was built next to the site of an old church that had been frequently ravaged by fires. However, in 1284, a catastrophe struck: a part of the vaults collapsed during a storm, likely due to the height of the building and its exposure to strong winds.
